Where the Working Boats Went
Saturday, 25 February 2012    20:00hrs until 22:00hrs      Whitchurch Leisure Centre, Heath Road
A multi-media show,Told in song and story, is  mixing drama, pictures and music to tell the story of the Inland Waterways of Britain, with new songs and tunes, written by Graeme Meek and Barry Goodman, as well as a few songs from other writers... and from the folk tradition. The story is told in the words of the people who lived and worked on the canals, and is linked by songs, with plenty of opportunities for the audience to join in with the choruses! A backdrop of images from the canals, both historical and contemporary, complements the show, and a broom-dance livens up the pub-setting in the second half!
